This will be my last post on this web-site, from now on please e-mail me directly and I will do the same. I recieved an e-mail from **** **** who apparently visits the web-site from time to time. It was very .....!

Vicky,

I can tell that you are very upset, and I understand your frustration. Of course, I am sorry that you received an email that distressed you as as result of your participation on this web site.

This is as good a time as any to remind all visitors to this site of a couple of "truths" about internet communities. By and large, they are open to the public, and you should expect all kinds of behaviors to be encountered in such communities. While we might like to think that the nature of this ittle spot makes it immune to hurtful things, Vicky has just seen evidence that this is not always the case. It is for these reasons that the website has several procedures and practices in place to shield participants from unpleasant behaviors:

1) Posters to this forum must be registered, not so they can be vetted, but so inappropriate posts can be policed, and abusive users prohibited from posting.

2) Properly registered users of this forum can enjoy the "buffer" of avoiding direct "private" communication with any visitor to the website by communicating with each other via the forum. The public nature of the forum, allowing all to see what is posted, tends to discourage inappropriate postings, and help to keep the discussion civil.

3) Your email address, which was collected when you registered/activated your membership on this site, is not available to the public. Posting your email addresses, or phone numbers, or physical addresses on this (or, for that matter, on *any* public forum) exposes you to potentially unwanted communication from others.

None of that is intended to be a criticism of you, Vicky, or of any of the other trusting souls who have posted such information on this site. It is only intended to help educate all as to the realities of "online" life.

I have no interest in seeing this forum degenerate into public squabbles, and encourage each of us to think carefully before we post. Often, emails received in private are best dealt with in private, in order to keep from escalating an already unpleasant situation.

Vicky, if you would like to change your user name to one that does not reflect your email address, just complete the "Contact Us" form and make such a request. I will be happy to set up a new user name for you, which you might find helpful if you have, or obtain, an alternate email address. If you need a Gmail invite, to set up a new email account, I'm happy to provide you with one.

Love,
Robert Parker

Vicky,

I'm sorry and very surprised about the email you received. I've felt like this site was a great way for the CMs to reconnect and support each other. Although not many people have communicated (and I wonder why because I'm sure others view the messages), it has been a blessing to me to share in Wes' and your lives. I do pray for you each day, and I'm sure others do also. I will continue to pray that God will work in the lives of Trent and Patrick. Thank you for sharing about their needs.

Love, Nancy

Hi all, if anyone is still reading these, I would like to hear from you. I just recently was laid off from work and anyone trying to E-mail me on my old office computer that I have had for the past 7 years, probably could not get through. I have a new E-mail address at home now. It is w.burger@comcast.net. Carol is still getting major treatments every 18 days which is keeping her going, for which we have the Good Lord to thank. Your prayers are still valued and appreciated. Would love to hear from you. Take care. Wes

Good evening dear friends. Just thought I would let you know that our God is still in the business of answering prayers. Carol is doing much better. Cancer free. I have just been hired for a new position over in Peoria, Illinois. After 6 months being off I would have taken about anything to get back to work, but the Good Lord worked it out so that I not only got a position, but a good one. I am the new Senior Director of Sales for the Argonaut Great Central Insurance Company, based in Peoria. I will have an office right across from the comany president and answer only to him. I am told they are grooming me to take over one of the divisions of the company. The future has great possibilities. Isn't it great how God can take something bad and not only turn it into good, but something better than I could have hoped for. We will be moving next week, the Tuesday after Labor Day, and will probably be able to move into the leased house by the end of next week. We are excited about it all, and can hardly believe some of it. We will let you know more later, but for now I will have to sign off from the home computer. I have to take the modem and things back to the cable company tomorrow. If anyone needs to get a hold of me, I now have a company laptop. My e-mail address for now is wburger@argonautgroup.com. I will advise when the house computer is up and running again. Thanks for your prayers. Wes
