Hi Wes, Like you we have Canadian Geese too. It seems like they stopped flying south and stopped at the lagoon in the city park, they've been here all winter. How are you and Carol doing? Tell us about your family. It seems I heard you mention a daughter. Any grandkids? Write soon, Vicky

Vickie and friends, it is always to good to hear from you. Yes we are having an interesting time here in Michigan. I am doing OK now and my wife Carol is having a very difficult time of things. I am a regional sales manager for an insurance company in Farmington Hills, MI. Keeping very busy with that and trying to keep Carol in her various treatments and medications. We are discovering that although she desparately needs the treatments and medicines, some of them seem to do more harm than good. So many side effects that they have discontinued most of the treatments until she can better handle them, inlcuding the chemo. We are just trusting God that He can have her handle the treatments better or provide His own healing. She has come close to having strokes several times with these treatments which could kill her faster than the cancer. We have one daughter named Jennifer who lives with our son-in-law David, and 21/2 year old grandaughter, Piper, in Longmont Colorado, That is a few miles north of Denver. When Piper was born the arteries on her heart were reversed and just about died several times before they could perform the two surgeries to correct the problem. After 8 weeks in intesive care she was able to come home. Now when we went there for Christmas, she was a very normal extremely active and healthy 2 1/2 year old. We know for sure that the prayers are the only thing that really got her and us through that crisis. We were just told a couple of months ago that our daughter is expecting again in April. They already know it is a boy and that he does not have the heart problem that Piper had. They have a large home out there and have an "in-law" quarters. We are grateful that they are so hospitable and loving. We would love desparately to move out there to be near our daughter and family. Carol feels better out there and I do not think it is all in her head. I feel better too. Let me know how you are doing. Wes

Hi Wes and everyone, Aren"t we blessed when miracles happen in our own lives! Piper must be quite special. As far as it being in your head that you both feel better in CO., I'm sure you probably do. Grandkids have an amazing quality of making everything better. We're lucky enough to have 6, 3 girls and 3 boys. They range in age from 20 months to 14 yrs. old. The furthest away is in Florissant by St. Louis so we get to spend alot of time with all of them. It most be hard to live that far away from your daughter and her family. Maybe a move will be in your future. I'm still praying for you and your family everytime I think your name. Have a great day. Love and prayers, Vicky
