I work at Grossmont Hospital 4 days a week with new mom's and babies/ RN and lactation consultant. On my days off I spend time with my grandchildren, ages 4 and 6 weeks old. I also have been busy with helping my daughter Amanda plan her wedding. That is pretty much it. Nothing too exciting. It was good to see you at the reunion. Lois

Hello everyone. Thanks Nancy for the kind reflections and taking me under your wing. With the exception of Lou Ann, I hadn't seen people since 1965 and 1966. The older CM's grew up with my dad as minister. People at First Church were my life. To be embraced again was a huge heart-hug. I'd so often wondered what happened to everyone - sometimes it didn't seem real. I'm glad to say it was... You are real. Memories are real... It was incredible to see some of your parents (Crane, Hodge, Carver, McGinty, Ragains, Walling). I was overwhelmed and wish so much I could have visited with more. Highlights are seeing Willis Gray and Annie Arms and everyone of my young peers. Time has been good to us! Charlyn Ellis

Hi everyone, this is Wes Burger. My wife and I are in Michigan for now, thanks to job transfers etc. We did so want to make it to the reunion, but between miles and my wifes health, we just could not make it this time. We have been reading the forum entries and looking at the pictures, Please keep them coming. Even though it has been over 30 years ago for most of us, I am reminded that you folks are more like family to us than some of the actual family we have. It is hard to describe to someone that I have brothers and sisters that I feel so close to even with the years of separation and distance. Vicky, I actually drove through Cape Girardeau a few weeks ago on the way to a business meeting down in Little Rock. It would have been nice to see you and your family. I realize that with a group as large and diverse as ours that we all have had concerns, tragedies, disappointments, and of course the good times. Thanks you all for sharing some of those with us. Even though some of us cannot get there as much as we would like, you are still my brothers and sisters and you are always in our prayers. Thanks again to all of you. Wes Burger

Wes, Hello, I would have love to see you. If you ever come this way again, please contact me ahead of time. Like you, I've been amazed that the time hasn't made any differance. You guys still feel like family. I think Dee and Vi did something special! Can you imagine parenting that many teenagers? That many personalities, problems, and prayers must have been overwelming but I don't think they ever gave it a second thought. How blessed were we to have had the Freeborns in our lives. I know when they get to heaven they'll be a special place for them!!!! I never hear that Ray Boltz song "Thank You For Giving To The Lord" that I don't think of them. Glad to hear from you, Vicky
